What is Ethylene Glycol used for?

Ethylene Glycol is used for cooling cooling systems, for example a refrigerator or freezer. A common problem with cooling systems is wear and tear due to limescale and rust. The use of Ethylene Glycol prevents this. This significantly extends the service life of cooling systems. This type of glycols can be used in refrigeration and climate engineering industries.

Applications Ethylene Glycol

Huchem supplies special Ethylene Glycol for refrigeration and climate technical installations. It contains inhibitors and additives against rust and limescale deposits and is non-corrosive. The product is virtually odorless and slightly sticky, it is also easy to mix with water and not volatile. The Axti Temp E is colorless / transparent as standard, but can also be supplied in the colors blue and red (on request).

How to use

When starting up again, empty the entire system and clean/rinse it thoroughly. Then introduce the desired amount of glycol. Allow the system to slowly reach operating temperature and release the released air bubbles. If necessary, refill the system to the desired level.

Mixing ratio

• 20% product - 80% demineralised water = protection down to -6 degrees Celsius
• 30% product - 70% demineralised water = protection down to -13 degrees Celsius
• 40% product – 60% demineralised water = protection down to -21 degrees Celsius
• 50% product – 50% demineralised water = protection down to -33 degrees Celsius
• 60% product – 40% demineralised water = protection down to -57 degrees Celsius
