Information
Special ethylene glycol, Axti Temp E, for cooling and heating installations. It contains inhibitors and low-foaming additives against rust and limescale deposits and is non-corrosive, protecting the inner walls of pipework against corrosion and product ageing, including aluminium pipework. The liquid can be added without problems to systems already filled with an ethylene glycol based coolant. It is virtually odourless, slightly sticky, mixes well with demineralised water and is non-volatile.
Do not use Axti Temp E 100% neat: the highest working ratio is 60% (-57°C).
Mixing ratios
- 20% product, 80% demineralised water = protection down to -8°C
- 30% product, 70% demineralised water = protection down to -15°C
- 40% product, 60% demineralised water = protection down to -21°C
- 50% product, 50% demineralised water = protection down to -33°C
- 60% product, 40% demineralised water = protection down to -57°C
Features
- Top heat and frost protection: ethylene glycol strongly lowers the freezing point of water so systems stay frost-free; ideal for cooling circuits, heating installations, coolants and industrial heat exchangers
- Excellent thermal stability and heat transfer: thanks to its chemical properties (viscous, mixes well with water, stable liquid) ethylene glycol is highly suitable as a heating and cooling medium at a wide range of temperatures
- Versatile industrial use: suitable for vehicle cooling systems, HVAC, heat pumps, cooling circuits, industrial processes or as a raw material for further processing
- Efficient and economical in bulk: the 1000 L IBC is ideal for businesses, projects and installation environments where large quantities of glycol are needed
Applications
- Coolants and antifreeze for engines, machines, refrigeration installations and HVAC systems
- Heating and cooling circuits in industrial installations, heat pumps and solar panels
- Process installations where temperature control, frost prevention or heat transfer is required
- Production of custom cooling or heating mixtures (dilute with water to the required specification)
Safety information
Ethylene glycol is a powerful chemical, so please note the following:
- Avoid contact with skin or eyes; always wear suitable personal protective equipment (gloves, eye and face protection)
- Keep the IBC tightly closed, cool and dry, out of reach of children and animals
- Use the product only for its intended applications; avoid use in contact with drinking water, consumer goods or food, and choose an alternative such as propylene glycol in those cases
Inhibitors and extra protection
Our glycol products in concentrations of 30%, 40%, 50% and 100%, both mono ethylene glycol (MEG) and mono propylene glycol (MPG), are supplied as standard with a basic package of inhibitors. These inhibitors help protect the installation against corrosion and acidification. If you want the glycol without basic inhibitors, please state this clearly when ordering. Depending on the application, the materials used and the conditions in the installation, additional protection may be needed; extra inhibitors can be added to the glycol on request.
Important return information for glycols
Because we always aim for the highest quality, there are some situations in which we cannot accept returns:
- Special glycol percentages produced on request that are not part of our standard range cannot be returned
- Opened cans or IBCs are not taken back, as we can no longer guarantee the quality
- Glycol mixed with dye produced at your request cannot be returned
If in doubt, please contact us before ordering glycol.
All packaging sizes and concentrations are available, ask for our prices. Also see our other types of glycol.
