Information
Special propylene glycol, Axti Temp P, for cooling and heating installations. This product is based on hygroscopic, environmentally compatible propylene glycol. It contains inhibitors and low-foaming additives against rust and scale deposits and is non-corrosive, protecting the inner walls of pipework against corrosion and product ageing, including in aluminium pipework. The fluid can be added without any problem to systems already filled with a propylene glycol-based coolant. It is virtually odourless, slightly sticky, mixes readily with demineralised water and is non-volatile.
Mixing ratios
20% product - 80% demineralised water = protection down to -6 degrees Celsius
30% product - 70% demineralised water = protection down to -13 degrees Celsius
40% product - 60% demineralised water = protection down to -21 degrees Celsius
50% product - 50% demineralised water = protection down to -33 degrees Celsius
60% product - 40% demineralised water = protection down to -57 degrees Celsius
Features
- Excellent antifreeze and frost protection: the 40% mix keeps fluids liquid even at lower temperatures (down to -21 °C), so that pipework, heat exchangers and systems remain frost-free.
- High chemical and thermal stability: propylene glycol is a clear, colourless and odourless liquid with low volatility, readily miscible with water and other solvents, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and technical applications.
- Safer alternative to ethylene glycol: because propylene glycol is considerably less toxic than ethylene glycol, it is often recommended for systems where indirect contact with (potential) drinking water is possible, such as solar collectors or installations in agricultural or food-related environments.
- Protection against corrosion and scale deposits: this industrial glycol variant contains additives/inhibitors that help protect pipework and components (including aluminium or metal pipework) against corrosion and ageing during prolonged use.
- Versatile in use: suitable for heating, cooling, air conditioning, heat pump systems, solar energy installations, industrial machinery, cooling circuits, HVAC and other technical installations where frost protection or heat transfer is required.

Important return information for glycols
We would like to draw your attention to a few important conditions regarding the return of glycols. Because at Huchem we always strive for the highest quality, there are certain situations in which we are unable to accept returns:
- Special glycol percentages produced to order that are not part of our standard range cannot be returned.
- Opened cans or IBCs cannot be taken back, as we can no longer guarantee their quality.
- Glycol mixed with dye produced at your request unfortunately cannot be returned either.
If in any doubt, we therefore recommend contacting us before ordering glycol.
