What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is a clear, non-toxic, and safe, highly pure 32.5% urea solution in demineralized water. It is injected directly into the exhaust gas where it acts as a reducing agent for harmful substances. This releases ammonia, which then reacts with the harmful nitrogen oxides in the catalytic converter to form elemental nitrogen and water. Both nitrogen and water are natural components of the air we breathe every day. This can reduce the amount of harmful oxides in emissions by 85%.
AdBlue is part of a future-proof concept for reducing exhaust emissions. By combining environmental friendliness and cost-effectiveness, AdBlue meets all EURO 5 and 6 targets.
