How does AdBlue work?

AdBlue is injected into the exhaust system, where it forms ammonia at high temperature. This ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides (NOx) and converts them into nitrogen (N2) and water vapour (H2O), both completely harmless to the environment. This process is called SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction).

Directions for use

• Fill AdBlue only via the AdBlue filler of vehicles or machines
• Freezing point: -11°C, so store the IBC frost-free
• Avoid contact with metal parts outside the system, as AdBlue can cause corrosion
• If the AdBlue level drops too far, many vehicles will not start. Topping up in time prevents downtime
