How does AdBlue work?

AdBlue is used in the exhaust system injected, where it forms ammonia at high temperatures.
This ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides (NOx) and converts them into:
  • Nitrogen (N₂)
  • Water vapor (H₂O)
Both completely harmless to the environment.
This process is called SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction).

Instructions for use

  • Pour AdBlue only into the AdBlue filler opening.
  • Freezing point: –11°C → store the canister frost-free.
  • Avoid contact with metal parts outside the system — AdBlue can cause corrosion.
  • If the AdBlue level drops too low, many vehicles will no longer start. Refilling in time prevents downtime.
