What is demineralized water? Demineralized water, or more simply, demi, has all the salts found in normal tap water removed. The number of dissolved ions in tap water can vary considerably. The amount of metal ions is also known as demineralized water.

Distilled water is obtained by boiling the water and collecting the condensation. This is an intensive process. The result is only water without additives. Demineralized water is filtered, removing limescale and minerals. Demineralized water is sufficient for most applications. For medical purposes, we recommend using distilled water. This water is available at the pharmacy.
